In the first of the Pig Tales recordings, Pat Walsh and Bill Hickey share stories of life in East Trentham, from their time at school through to 2010 when the recording was made.

The Pig Tales recordings were started in 2010 by Richard and Trish Ryan. They wanted to capture the stories they were hearing, as told by the storytellers themselves, all regulars at the Pig and Whistle in East Trentham. In this episode we hear from Richard and Trish about what motivated them to create these recordings and the experience of making Pig Tales.

Back down at the Old Police Station, or OPS, Curator Sue Worthington shares the intriguing history of the buildings on the site and some of the colourful stories associated with past policing in the area.

The first episode of Archive Treasures features Sue Worthington, the current Curator at the T&DHS. Sue talks about the challenges with preserving items for longevity, the need for the new Archival Storage Centre and the push to digitise as much of the collection as possible for safe-keeping on a cloud-based service.
